The Mindfulness Curriculum (F-12)

The Mindfulness Curriculum (F-12)

Mindfulness is fast becoming a common practice in our classrooms because of its ability to help students to self regulate, improve their relationships and health, while increasing their focus and engagement.

Learn how to go beyond mindfulness meditation as an add-on to the school day, and discover how to use a variety of mindfulness practices in ways that are purposeful, timely, and connected to student learning, to enable you to empower students to thrive and increase outcomes.

Workshop Overview:

As educators we can utilise the powerful benefits of mindfulness by incorporating it into our teaching practices, and enhancing instructional models. This is possible in primary, secondary and specialist classrooms, when educators utilise the curriculum and their pedagogical practice.

Participants will discover a wide range of easy to implement strategies that empower students to learn self-regulation skills.

Develop a mindfulness toolkit to use during challenging times, and utilise sensory-based techniques to calm and prepare students for new experiences.

Watch as behavioural challenges in your classroom are minimised, as positive visible learning, thinking and acting are increased.
